Two individuals were arrested Saturday in Riverdale with the assistance of the RCMP’s emergency response team, says a police press release issued Saturday.

Two individuals were arrested Saturday in Riverdale with the assistance of the RCMP’s emergency response team, says a police press release issued Saturday.

Police received a firearms complaint after 1 a.m.

Officers from the Whitehorse detachment and the police emergency team responded to a residence on Stewart Road.

“Officers remained on the scene throughout the night and at 9:30 a.m., the emergency response team was utilized to safely arrest a 26-year-old male and 22-year-old female,” says the release.

The names of the man and woman have not been released, and no other details were available this morning from the RCMP.
