A slippery ramp from the Air North hangar to a Whitehorse International Airport runway could cost the airline upwards of $20,000.
Air North president Joe Sparling said Monday the tow vehicle and one of the airline's hawkers jackknifed shortly after 8:00 last Friday morning as the plane was heading to the runway bound for Dawson City, Old Crow and Inuvik.
With damage to a propeller on the plane, the flight was delayed for between two and three hours while Air North switched planes.
There was also damage to the tow vehicle's tug, with both items probably totalling $20,000 for repairs, Sparling said.
