A Carmacks man is facing numerous charges after a stabbing incident in the community last week.

Carmacks RCMP were called to a home there at about 3:24 a.m. last Tuesday, police said in a statement released last Thursday afternoon.

They found two males in the residence suffering from injuries that weren't life-threatening.

While the man was treated at the nursing station, the 16-year-old was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital for treatment.

The two were visiting the home when a fight broke out, police said.

The suspect and two victims are known to each other and alcohol is believed to have been a factor.

By the time police arrived, the suspect had fled but police later found him. He was arrested without incident.

Edgar Wesley-Beaver, 23, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of breaching an undertaking.

His next scheduled court appearance is set for tomorrow.
