Two men face charges following an RCMP operation conducted last Friday at a Takhini Trailer Court residence.

Officers went to the unit to arrest 41-year-old David Moss for outstanding warrants and new charges related to two recent complaints of domestic violence.

“Moss was unwilling to present himself at the home for arrest upon police request,” police said Tuesday.

“For underlying safety reasons, the Yukon RCMP Critical Incident Program was deployed, including members of the Emergency Response Team.”

City bylaw officers assisted with traffic control on Range Road, from which the trailer court is accessed.

“A short time later, Moss exited the residence and was arrested without incident,” police said.

David Moss has been charged with the following offences:

• assault with a weapon;

• two counts of assault;

• unlawfully being in a dwelling house;

• two counts of failing to comply with conditions; and

• two counts of disobeying a court order.

Moss remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in court today.

Also arrested was the owner of the residence, 20-year-old Tyler Thorlakson. He has been charged with obstruction, and aiding and abetting.

Thorlakson appeared in court and was released on an undertaking. He is next scheduled to appear on Jan. 20.

Do these judges and magistrates think it's fun ferreting this element out? Start holding up your end by coming into contact with reality.

Tough childhoods, they should be paid to take a few anger management courses then released back into our community.
