Three occupants of a vehicle were taken out of their car at gun point by police last Friday after officers saw what they believed to be a gun.

The trio was spotted in the parking lot of the Real Canadian Superstore by officers who happened to be in the area.

After looking in the window of the car, officers saw what they believed to be a gun, and followed RCMP procedures for dealing with weapons, said RCMP Sgt. Tom Wyers.

The gun turned out to be a realistic-looking replica.

There is no information on the age or gender of the people involved.

No charges were laid in the case, although the three did get a stern lecture from the officers.
