Whitehorse experienced a cable Internet and digital voice services outage last night.

The failure was due to a software upgrade that failed, Emily Younker, a Northwestel Inc. spokesperson, said this morning.

Service was intermittent throughout the night as repairs were being completed. The problem had been fixed by 9:00 this morning.

Younker did not know how many customers were affected by the disruption.

She said the outage only impacted people within Whitehorse city limits.
