Yukon public health officials reported no new cases of COVID-19 for the first time in weeks on Wednesday afternoon.

The active case count at that point was 49. Whitehorse was reported to have 22 cases.

Old Crow had 15 cases, while Teslin had three and Tagish had two.

Old Crow has not had a new case in at least two days, according to the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation council.

The government figures showed Dawson City with two cases, but that was contradicted by local figures that reported seven cases.

Haines Junction and Beaver Creek had one case each.

Meanwhile, a public exposure notice has been issued for the Learning Tree Daycare in Whitehorse for the preschool Group, pre-kindergarten group and toddler group.

The notice covers Dec. 13-14.
