Murder charge laid after man’s death
A Watson Lake man has been charged with murder in the death of Olson Wolftail.
A Watson Lake man has been charged with murder in the death of Olson Wolftail.
Alfred Thomas Chief, 31, is currently in custody. He will appear in court in Whitehorse on Wednesday.
Chief stands charged after Wolftail, 87, was found dead in a Watson Lake residence just after midnight last Friday.
Watson Lake RCMP responded to the residence after having received a report of an assault.
Wolftail was found dead in the residence.
At the time, RCMP reported an adult male, also found at the dwelling, was taken into custody.
Today, the RCMP confirmed that man is Chief.
Watson Lake RCMP, Yukon RCMP Major Crimes Unit, and RCMP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday in Vancouver.

Dear Mr. jc and the rest of the hater trolls that regularly frequent this website, for the expressed purpose of belittling minorities, including FNs. No this is not an example of respecting ones elders. There are thousands upon thousands of others that are, unfortunately not news worthy and don't sell newspapers.

June Jackson, Maybe you should read the article and process the information before another one of your posts. "Rest in peace Mr. Chief ??" He is the lowlife POS that is charged in the death of Mr. Wolftail. I agree with jc. May you rot in prison Mr. Chief...
