Yukon MP Ryan Leef, who was in the House of Commons today for a debate on Canada’s current role in Iraq, offered a statement on the federal Liberal nomination race via email.

“I wish to congratulate Larry Bagnell on his recent nomination as the Liberal Party candidate.

“I look forward to presenting our values, policies and achievements as options for the Yukon to consider in the 2015 federal election.

“Additionally I very much look forward to having the opportunity to compare our records of delivering results for this great territory,” Leef said.

Everyone abandoned the liberals after their big defeat 4 years ago. Now everyone reappears as candidates. So fake. I still haven't forgotten Larry throwing the entire Yukon under the bus with the gun registry. And when someone retires that usually what that means. Not come back because now there might be chance to win. Pathetic. But, thank you for showing me your true values and integrity.

I'm quite confident that upon hearing Mr. Bagnell's success, Mr. Leef's first words were something like "Oh fsck".

Hope you enjoyed your playtime in Parliament Ryan... The only thing you'll be remembered for is calling the PM a cannibal... something that I'd almost vote for you again for in hopes you could top that introduction. Almost.
