The Yukon legislature will begin its fall sitting in two weeks.

A letter from Tourism and Culture Minister Elaine Taylor, on behalf of Premier Dennis Fentie, was sent to the Legislative Assembly Office this morning, assembly clerk Floyd McCormick confirmed.

Notices were then sent out to MLAs informing them of the Oct. 25 date the legislature will be reconvened.

With a maximum of 60 sitting days through the year, there could be up to 28 days in this sitting of the legislature, since there were 32 in the spring session.

If all 28 days are used, the final sitting day in the legislature for this session would be Dec. 13.
