Poul Lutzen isn't missing anymore.

In fact, he didn't even know he was missing in the first place.

The 52-year-old Whitehorse man was reported missing last Friday after he failed to show up to a work appointment.

Lutzen, a natural hoof care specialist, arrived at customer Nancy Schmidt's door Wednesday morning with hoof trimming tools in hand.

"Once (the person who opened the door) realized who he was, she said, 'Excuse me, aren't you supposed to be missing?'" Schmidt told the Star today.

By that time, Lutzen had already contacted his partner, Shiela Alexandrovich, to say he had been camping and to assure her that he was all right.

No one contacted Whitehorse RCMP until later in the day, said Sgt. Mark Groves, speaking for the police.

"Just a reminder that if people are going camping or hunting, that they let someone know where they are going and when they will be back," Groves said.
