A local man likely died from exposure after his body was found in the snow by a woman walking along a McIntyre subdivision trail.

The body of 50-year-old Norman Bill will be flown Outside for an autopsy.

No foul play is suspected, Whitehorse RCMP Sgt. John Sutherland said today.

Though the investigation continues, initial indications are Bill died from exposure to the cold. His body was found on a walking trail near the ball diamonds in the subdivision.

The temperatures were in the -30 C range over the weekend. He was wearing light clothing and shoes at the time.

The McIntyre resident who found him called police at about 2 p.m. Sunday.

Bill had last been seen the evening before, though police are still tracking down a couple of more people who may also have seen him, Sutherland said.
