It has been five years since James Kunuk was reported missing to the Yukon RCMP.

Kunuk was last seen in Whitehorse in the fall of 2016.

He has not had contact with family or friends since that time, which is out of character for him, the RCMP said recently.

“His family is concerned for his well-being,” police said.

Kunuk was 34 years old when he was last seen. He is described as being five feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 181 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Kunuk has previously lived in downtown Vancouver, and has family connections in the Northwest Territories.

RCMP Historical Case Unit investigators are asking anyone with information regarding Kunuk’s disappearance to phone them at 667-5500 or email them at mdiv_hcu@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

Lol @ Snowball. I worked with James at Walmart in town here, about 15 years ago. Kept telling me his Uncle sold weed to Tupac. He was a nice guy, hope they find him.

The fact that he was known as Jay Springay growing up here in Whitehorse is really something that should be mentioned on this article (as it was when he first went missing). It might help some readers know who they are taking about.
