Jeff Jensen, a 48-year-old local man, was medevaced to Vancouver on Monday morning after he fell from the top of the new Mark's Work Wearhouse. He was working on the building being constructed at the Chilkoot Centre near the bottom of Two Mile Hill.

Whitehorse General Hospital spokeswoman Val Pike said this morning the man was brought into the hospital at 9 a.m. Monday.

He was flown out to Vancouver General Hospital at 11:05 a.m. for multiple trauma, including breaks to an arm and leg.

Mark Hill, a Yukon Workers' Compensation Health and Safety Board spokesman, said today the matter is under investigation, but would not confirm details about the fall nor how it happened. He noted those matters are part of the ongoing investigation.

It's unknown just how long the investigation will take.

Hill noted he will likely have a better idea in about a week when more work has been done.
