A 22-year-old man is facing impaired and dangerous driving charges after an accident early this morning on Hamilton Boulevard.

The driver lost control of a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and veered off the road just after midnight near McIntyre Drive.

The car rolled several times along the embankment and “sustained heavy damage,” Whitehorse RCMP said in a news release.

The front and back of the car were smashed in. One of its rear wheels fell off.

Several drivers called 911, and the driver, whose name was not released, was arrested at the scene.

He and his 22-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to Whitehorse General Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

They’ve since been released, said hospital spokeswoman Val Pike.

The driver is facing several charges, including impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He was scheduled to appear in territorial court this afternoon.

Const. Dean Hoogland said RCMP are still investigating and interviewing several witnesses.

With the epic volume of piss-tanks we have here, kinda surprised this doesn't happen each day.
I'm sure "this person" will get the consideration in the courts Darious got...yeah...WTFE.
Mind you only 22, still many others have years of practice driving hammered...perhaps they have merely conditioned their pickled grey matter to ...drive better than this one in training?
