Man charged following stabbing

A 61-year-old Whitehorse man has been charged with stabbing a 23-year-old man last Saturday, says an RCMP press release issued Tuesday.

A 61-year-old Whitehorse man has been charged with stabbing a 23-year-old man last Saturday, says an RCMP press release issued Tuesday.

David Harold Wells has been charged with aggravated assault. He remains in custody pending his next court appearance scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

The RCMP arrested Wells after receiving a complaint at 5 p.m. Saturday of an incident on Main Street near Sixth Avenue.

The 23-year-old was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital, where he was treated and released.
