Garden, landscaping competition continues
As part of the City of Whitehorse’s participation in Communities in Bloom, the parks and community development department is engaging citizens in some friendly competition.
As part of the City of Whitehorse’s participation in Communities in Bloom, the parks and community development department is engaging citizens in some friendly competition.
Six winners will be chosen from two available categories in the Miracle-Gro Best Garden Selection: residential gardens and commercial landscaping.
Those wanting to enter can email up to three photos of their residential garden or commercial landscaping to sarah.corbeil@whitehorse.ca
Describe your theme or inspiration – why should you be a best garden winner?
The contest is open until Sept. 1. Winners will be announced on Sept. 8.
Winners will be judged by the selection committee based on aesthetics, creativity, design and plant diversity.
They will be awarded a Miracle-Gro Prize Pack and receive a “WINNER” sign to display in their yard, as well as public recognition by the city and Communities in Bloom.

Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement and the challenge of a national program, with focus on enhancing green spaces in communities.
