The Yukon government released new COVID-19 numbers on Friday afternoon.

They show 53 active cases, with eight new cases identified overnight from last Thursday.
The testing positivity rate has dipped to 24.5 per cent, down from a peak of approximately 40 per cent a few weeks ago.
The acting chief medical officer of health, Dr. Catherine Elliott, has said she would like to see that rate diminish to approximately five per cent to show that community transmission rates have dropped to a minimal level.
There are currently no Yukon hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
Twenty cases have been medevaced to this point.

VACCINE MANDATES OVERTURNED BY THE NEW ZEALAND HIGH COURT
Today [25 February 2022] in the New Zealand High Court, a judicial review of the NZ government’s vaccine mandates on the Defence force and Police forces were found to infringe civil rights without sufficient justification and hence the vaccine mandate order was set aside. The judicial review was brought by three Police and Defence Force Workers who did not wish to be vaccinated. The Judge in her judgement states “For the above reasons I conclude that the Order does not involve a reasonable limit on the applicants’ rights that can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society and that it is unlawful. There will be an order setting the Order aside.”

I'm fully vaccinated. Plus a booster. I've never had covid. My immune system is working just great. My blood cell counts are 100% normal.
Yes some people had reactions to the vaccines. A few of them even died (not from immune dysfunction though).
Pretty soon North America will cross the million dead from covid.
According to you and Jeff B pretty soon we should be seeing 300 million dead north americans from their immune systems shutting down.

The second link doesn’t say what you think it says. It does not imply or predict an immune deficiency in covid vaccinated people. It does state that back in 2020 some covid vaccines being studied in China and other countries used an adenovirus vector that may increase the susceptibility to HIV. You’re making a big leap here that is not based in reality. Those vaccines (which aren’t being used in developed countries) don’t give people AIDS. AIDS comes from HIV which is a virus. You don’t get HIV from a vaccine. And you don’t get AIDS from a vaccine.

It will happen on March 13 at 2:30 PM Roy. Mark your calendar. Simply put, I think people's immune systems are damaged. I think their immune systems have been programmed for a very specific task and they will fail at protecting from future illnesses because of this. The same as animal trials. I think boosted people have lower white blood cell counts, hence the AIDS or VAIDS comments. Don't worry Magic Johnson has been promoting an AIDs vaccine for the last year that should take care of this. I think the shots cause inflammation in the entire body, which explains myocarditis, full body rashes, and the reason women cannot take tests for breast cancer. It is as if the shots make existing health problems worse.

I do not have social media. I do have hundreds of news feeds that I read. I have family, friends, and acquaintances that have suffered from illness and death soon after vaccination. I have seen this first hand. I have seen this in the communities. It is faux pas to speak about these things and they get censored if posted on the internet. All we need are the numbers of all cause mortalities in the Yukon for 2021 so we can see if there has been excess deaths. Does the vaccine cause strokes? Ask the government to release the statistics so we can see if there has been an increase in strokes, then we can know instead of speculating. Without the numbers all we have is anecdotes and first hand experiences. The numbers have been suppressed which is why they are coming out through insurance companies.

Deaths are up in an age group that includes 50-64 year olds...since the pandemic started. This is when compared to pre-pandemic. Wow who'd a thought?
In a country that will soon cross the 1 million dead from covid. And the strain put on the health care system which is overwhelmingly from the unvaccinated has caused surgeries to be canceled and ICU beds to have been blocked - causing a rippling through the system leading to further deaths not directly caused by covid infection.
If it weren't for the vaccines taking the load off and keeping vaccinated people out of the system (even if they get covid) the death toll would be even higher.
This isn't the smoking gun your playing it off as.
Post an actual mainstream media article - even from Fox or Breitbart or Rebel news - as bad as those sites I'll accept one that shows this immune system dysfunction you guys keep talking about. 30+ million Canadians vaccinated. 250 million Americans. 3.8 million Canadians did not get vaccinated.
1.8 million got a first dose and haven't gotten a 2nd.
13.6 million got a 2nd and haven't gotten a 3rd.
Thats 19.2 million eligible Canadians (56%) that are done with vaccination.
End the mandates.

Thanks for the suggestions, While I think freezing the accounts of people who are willing to lock down may be a tad bit far. I think a more active police presence to keep people in their homes would be a welcome site. We are so close to being completely free if people just committed to it.
As for the other guy mentioning flying me to Cuba, that would be welcomed. A little bit warmer then the cold here and the Cubans actually have a much more robust medical system then even the states, With a longer life expectancy at 10% of the cost.

How many of the 53 counted were actually vaccinated? Milder symptoms or not they tested positive for the Covid. Be honest about the case counts. Oh I forgot, I am talking to Liberals. Sick of this being blamed on the unvaccinated spreading Covid. I am fully vaccinated so don't assume I am not. Been sick ever since I got the shots. Sure glad I got them to keep my job. They didn't work. The virus has run through the population and provided natural immunity. Lock downs didn't stop it. Vaccines didn't slow it. Unvaccinated didn't die en mass and overwhelm the medical system. Bill Gates has expressed how sad he is that everyone has gotten immunity before they could vaccinate the entire planet. He is confident that in the next pandemic, which he seems very excited about, they will get shots out faster so this can't happen.

I believe there are a lot more than 53 cases. The 53 are people who have been tested at official testing centres and not using the rapid tests at home. There is at least one daycare shut down outside Whitehorse because all their staff tested positive and many of the children did as well. This isn't as intense a version of Covid as the past ones for which I am thankful but for the protection of our friends and family members with reduced immunity, we still need to be cautious. I will be dancing with joy though when we can finally visit family, quit wearing masks, and sanitizing and drying out my hands every time I go anywhere. This pandemic has played havoc with people's mental health in so many ways.

Create a military state and pin all the people against each other. Not sure who you're talking to Roy but the words "liberal agenda" and "great reset" have never left my lips.
Eight hospitalizations don't tell me that the restrictions worked. The tell me that the government overshot with the restrictions and caused more misery than we needed to during one of the darkest months of the year. We handled significantly more hospitalizations during the gamma wave last summer (about 36 during the month of June). It is time to live with the virus.

@ roy.. there's a very important point that you and those lunatic lefties seem to conveniently overlook. A significant portion of the 95% you always refer to as "intellectual" were coerced and forced into taking the vaccine against their will and many of those people do not support the mandate nor are they totally convinced the experimental vaccines actually did much more than natural immunity would have. Most people agree that the vaccines reduced severity in those who had weakened immunity yet we'll patiently have to wait and see the true scientific results of these vaccines on the otherwise healthy population.
That being said, my point is, if you take into account the percentage of coerced vaxed people who disagree with mandate and the anti vax who disagree with mandate you probably have more than a majority who oppose mandates. I know that's difficult math for liberals and it counters the state paid for media messages but....

The point of the restrictions was to limit hospitalizations. So thanks for confirming they worked! We did it! Well - others did it while you guys did the keyboard warrior thing.
There is a reason every province (liberal or conservative led) had restrictions in place for the omicron wave. A lot of you are so stuck in your Yukon bubbles you can’t see past our borders to what Alberta and Saskatchewan and New Brunswick are doing. You just yell “liberal! great reset!” and other catch phrases and dog whistles.
Now that things have calmed somewhat we can start to loosen those restrictions while keeping hospitalizations at a low rate. Just like other provinces and territories.
Your “this is a liberal agenda!” ideas fall apart with the slightest bit of examination - too bad most of you would rather post and vote here than actually pause for one second and think.
Don’t worry though - the other 95% of Canada will carry your intellectual dead weight along. It’s probably for the best you just spend the majority of your time here and in FB. Safe space and all that.

According to the new dashboard we've had 8 hospitalizations during the entire Omicron wave. Eight. That totally seems worth cancelling kids sports, banning funerals and prohibiting people from having more than one other household in their home. This will go down as the "cried wolf wave".
