APARTMENT BUILDING DAMAGED – The cause of Wednesday evening's blaze on Klondike Road in Riverdale is still being investigated.
The cause of a Wednesday evening fire at a Riverdale low-rise apartment building is still under investigation, Wayne Smyth, the deputy fire marshal, said this morning.

The Whitehorse Fire Department was called to 20C Klondike Rd. at about 7:30 p.m. said Smyth.
The fire marshal's office is assisting with the investigation into the cause of the blaze.
Smyth said the damage to unit 20C, where the fire originated, is "significant.”
The building's owner, who asked not to be named, said this morning another unit sustained smoke and water damage and that tenant is also unable to return home at this time.
Tenants in the other two units are able to return today.
The Whitehorse Fire Department's acting chief could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon nor this morning.
