A French film crew making a movie about a Yukon fur trapper is missing electronic equipment following a break-in to its office.

The Last Trapper crew had set up shop in a Yukon Inn room.

Thieves entered that room by breaking a ground level window and climbing in, Whitehorse RCMP spokesman Cpl. Ken Putnam said this morning.

Reported Saturday, the break-in occurred between 5:30 p.m. and shortly before the call to the RCMP.

Missing are a backpack, Compaq laptop, a light meter, two ICOM brand radios, at least one still photography camera and a Macintosh MP3 player.

Footprints left behind at the crime scene have been photographed, Putnam said.
