Three people were arrested and charged last Friday after the RCMP seized 1.7 kilograms of cocaine south of Whitehorse.

Whitehorse RCMP’s General Investigation Section, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, Yukon RCMP Federal Investigations Unit and the Whitehorse detachment, executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on the South Klondike Highway, near the Carcross Cutoff.

As a result of the search, 1.7 kilograms of cocaine were seized, as well as related drug trafficking paraphernalia, police said Monday afternoon.

Three men were arrested at the residence and taken into police custody.

Bradley Prowal, 31, has been charged with drug trafficking, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession.

Lucas Radatzke, 34, faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Christopher Dick, 30, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a probation order.

All three appeared in territorial court last weekend and were remanded into custody. Dick also appeared Monday.

Prowal and Radatzke are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

I see few thumbs down and I wonder how anybody can still be against criticism of the Justice System when it fails society. The "bleeding hearts" are the culprits; we tried their way and crime is not getting any better, at least in my 73 years of observation.

Honestly, if the dealers do not have a demand for it, then there will be no need for supply or dealers. Getting rid of the dealers only moves them into someone else's yard. I think we need to look at the 'customers'; stop the customer then no demand.

@I'd like to see some real consequence!
Exactly. Totally agree. Let's hope the dbags get a proper sentence that will take them out of the game till they're in their 40's. That "should" make them think twice.

Genius Bradley Prowal was busted for the same crime back in 2015, and was sentenced to 3 years in prison (guns, drugs, gang member with 856 tattooed inside his mouth.)

Some excerpts from the Star reporting from the last time Prowal was busted up here, including what Judge Luther, a judge we are fortunate to have coming up here now and then, said to Bradley when he was sentenced last time,

"Prowal plans to head back to B.C. once he is released and become a longshoreman, (HA HA HA!)'

"(Judge Luther) warned both men that if caught again, they would be looking at sentences ranging from five to 10 years in a federal penitentiary." Let's just HOPE this is true, and that he doesn't get the judge who set Jiri Jiri free based on a technicality!

these guys never learn on May 30, 2019 at 12:46 pm

I guess money is too good and jail is not enough of a deterrent. Well maybe next time these fine boys will have an accident when they mess with the wrong people, that will be the only way they will ever go away.

Drug dealers are "the scum of the earth" on May 30, 2019 at 9:23 am

Would not matter if they get caught or not. Good on the RCMP for trying to clean up these drug dealing loser pieces of crap. Still, feel bad for RCMP, they do their jobs and catch these pieces of scum but then, the judges let them off because as usual in Yukon, its all about the criminal and F___ the victim.

I wish Banishment was an option for the judge. Every time (EVERY TIME!) Bradley Prowal is in town, it's because he's running drugs. Order him to stay out, put him on a no-fly-to-Yukon list, whatever. Yes, I know the gang will just replace him, but at least it's a step towards slowing the problem down.

Good work on May 29, 2019 at 10:39 pm

Remanded into custody. That's a nice change from the usual course of events.

Meh.
Rinse and repeat. These cats will be dealing again in days if not already.
