Yukon chief coroner Sharon Hanley has released the name of the pilot killed in last Thursday's plane crash near Mayo.

Bradley Chambers, 34, of Duncan, B.C., was flying the single turbine Otter owned by Black Sheep Aviation. The aircraft went down about 65 kilometres northeast of Mayo last Thursday evening.

Transportation Safety Board crews flew into the site to begin investigating last Friday.

Hanley said Monday afternoon that Chambers' body was removed from the plane last Saturday. It was sent out to Vancouver for an autopsy on Monday, with results expected back sometime today.

The safety board is continuing its investigation. After it collects evidence at the scene, it will look at other information, including weather, the plane's maintenance history and the pilot's history.

The investigation is expected to take a number of months.
