The death of Whitehorse resident Christopher Brisson is a homicide, Whitehorse RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has confirmed.
In a news release issued Monday, police said they don’t believe the death was a random act.
The body of 25-year-old Brisson was found Sept. 1 near Miles Canyon. He had been reported missing by his family on Aug. 29.
Brisson’s white Chevrolet truck was located on McLean Lake Road.
Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen Brisson or his truck on Friday, Aug. 28, particularly in the areas of Hamilton Boulevard, the Alaska Highway and McLean Lake Road.
The truck is a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado half-ton. It has large rims and tires, a tinted back window and a step‐side box.
Police are also interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or activity around the area of Miles Canyon, including the Miles Canyon Road between Aug. 28 and Sept. 1.
Anyone with information is asked to call Whitehorse RCMP at 667‐5555.

Give it a break, Josey Wales. You are a broken record. Always rambling incoherently about the same issues, everyday: catch & release, political correctness, crime, blab, blab. This is the first homicide in Whse this year - the sky is not falling in, Chicken Little. You are just getting old, lamenting about days long ago (that were never here).

Hate? Are you surviving a head injury?
Vilification of dissent is THE tactic of the left and the zealots that bleat the message of the cause.
Odd really as it seems to I at least the "tolerance" crews are by faaar the most intolerant of others who are not they.
Hate you say? Mellow dramatics much?

Frank, I would go so far as to say he keeps regurgitating the same old hate.
His professing to being a "hillbilly" explains so much though.

Frank...nope I do not. I'm a hillbilly not a grammar major.
If you do not pick up what it is that I put down?
Perhaps you got a ride to school in a shorter bus than I?

Josey. Do you have a 'word salad' generator?
Your post rarely make any sense but regurgitate the same, tired old words you feel make you appear educated.

Condolences to this man's loved ones. It's likely this man's drug past caught up to him, and it is unfortunate that he never had a chance to prove himself.

hmmm...another homicide?
In our wee lil' cottage town of less than 28k?
anyone ever peruse unsolved crimes in this politically correct cesspool?
when ones factors in "catch & release" laughable justice, all the "Gladue Kangaroo's" hopping around, the PC zealots that perpetuate the dysfunction in this leftist utopia....any wonder why we are the sty we are?
