The death of a woman in Ross River earlier this month was a homicide, the RCMP say.

Last Wednesday and Thursday, an autopsy took place in Vancouver on the body of Maryann Ollie, a 59-year-old First Nations woman who died in Ross River on Aug. 1.

“Results from the autopsy have confirmed her death to be a homicide,” the police said last Friday afternoon.

“The RCMP is working closely with the Yukon Coroner’s Service on this investigation.”

Police released no more details.

Anyone with information about Ollie’s death is asked to contact the Ross River RCMP at (867) 969-2677 or (867) 969-5555.

And so it continues, yet another family loses a member to violence.
What a damn shame that we as a society have become so “conditioned”
to said violence, and families losing members.
Condolences to Maryann’s family and friends.
Given the dismal track record of our courts, justice may be just like Great Pumpkin....spoke of heaps but never seen.

I hold the opinion that to solve crime, one needs trust in enforcement crews, faith in their communities people to assist those delving, good professional “investigators” keeping errors to a minimum presenting the best case for the courts, the halls of “justice” be blind Vs. the nonsense we know today.

This may appear untimely, but very relevant to the health of our communities.
On those things I view and illustrate important for solving crime, how do you as a reader process/weigh them when pondering your community?
