Dawson seeks funding for emergency maintenance

Corroded pipes and the potential for serious to catastrophic failure at either the York Street Lift Station or the Fifth Avenue Screening Plant has caused Dawson's town council to request an authorization from the territorial government to spend $340,000 of the $792,000 remaining in the infrastructure grant that was given to the City of Dawson to assist with a maintenance deficit when the local government was restored 14 months ago.
