LATE AFTERNOON MISHAP – Whitehorse RCMP officers work at the scene of Monday afternoon’s collision at Second Avenue and Quartz Road.
At about 5:30 p.m., Whitehorse RCMP and the Whitehorse Fire Department were dispatched to the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Quartz Road and Second Avenue.
At about 5:30 p.m. Monday, Whitehorse RCMP and the Whitehorse Fire Department were dispatched to the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Quartz Road and Second Avenue.
It appears a green Chevrolet Blazer collided with a white Chevrolet pickup truck, police said in a news release early this afternoon.
The driver of the pickup was a 30 year old male with a female passenger onboard.
The Blazer was driven by a 33 year old female.
Police report those involved were taken to hospital, treated and released.
Cpl. Jeff Myke said traffic was blocked for a short time while crews cleaned up the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, but drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as factors, he said.

No surprise there was an accident..but a big surprise there aren't more of them.. Whitehorse..terrible drivers.
