COVID numbers continue to rise

Friday’s COVID-19 numbers indicate the increasing prevalence of the virus is continuing.

By Whitehorse Star on April 4, 2022

Friday’s COVID-19 numbers indicate the increasing prevalence of the virus is continuing.

The numbers show 113 active cases, with 23 new overnight from Thursday. Data from the weekend were unavailable before press time this afternoon.

The testing positivity rate is quite high at 43.9 per cent, one of the highest rates recorded.

The Yukon government and public health officials have had little to say on the soaring rates of infection, which are also hitting other areas of Canada.

Last month, Premier Sandy Silver said he believed the situation was still manageable, so long as a more dangerous form of COVID-19 such as the Delta variant doesn’t take over as the dominant strain.

The numbers come a little more than two weeks after the March break ended, and a month after almost all health restrictions were lifted except for the vaccine mandate for public workers.

That mandate was lifted today except for certain sectors, including shelters, hospitals and health care facilities, group homes and similar organizations.

@ Jeff Bikaboom - absent the presented political science, people just wear masks to mitigate contagion, as was the case not only in this pandemic but in a dozen preceding it. While I absolutely agree with your points, it must be pointed out that mask use is a factually effective control that has been proven multiple times over the course of several centuries. I wore a mask and modelled safe conduct and will do so again if neccessary, but only to model, not to lecture, command, advise. etc. What you do is up to YOU and I fully support your intelligence as an adult. With repsect.

@Anonymous - I did some math. Let's say 10% of Canadians weren't having it anymore. That is approximately 3.8 million people spread across the 2nd largest nation with the top 5 worst terrain and geography on earth. We maybe have a quarter million, but let's say up to a half million pairs of boots of a martial force to contend with, that's police, military and vets...

Hypothetically speaking, the only thing preserving Canada's existence is the patience of the people living in it. That can change on a dime. I would prefer to see Canada resolve its crises peacefully. The way people were taking off for Ukraine, given half a chance in their own homeland...well, no more Liberals or their stupid priorities in the face of a global pandemic and rising cold war.

Saying we were nice at the national protest is an understatement, we are still waiting for an apology and if it doesn't come soon, round two won't be so nice - there won't be bouncy castles, but there will bouncy gallows.

Government better smarten up real quick. According to CTV news Apr 11, 2022, a clinical psychologist says the country is descending into something of a collective mental disorder it won't get out of without a fight. Way I see it, that disorder is systemic and we are so beyond done being gaslit that we are liable to slap someone soon. The rude awakening will eat the woke alive.

A vote for the Liberal Party is a vote for a post national state and you will have to kill me to get what you want. Otherwise, the will of the people, as noted historically, will break whatever attempts to break it. And in most cases, this was accomplished with minimal violence or the breaking of laws.

I of course will vote and pursue democracy by legal and democratic means until such means are exhausted. We are not there yet.

The last time I looked in a Democracy the majority rule and individual choice is secondary to that. When that changes please let me know so I can start paying attention to some of these fruit cakes.
I believe the unvaccinated can establish a northern leper like colony where they are free to do as they please somewhere up north. Should they have to interact with the normal people they can be marked with an upside down yellow tri-angle on the forehead so appropriate precautions can be taken.

I agree that the masks are given such importance by medical officials primarily because they are a visual that covid is somehow being addressed by the population and that they are still controlling the agenda.

I just can't make any sense out of them saying they played a huge role in stopping the spread. Partly because it kind of looks like when covid spread, it just spread. Are you going to point to a fraction of people who didn't mask and blame them? They can only really say "it would have been worse".

I even saw a headline the other day where some doctor claimed the masks were more important than vaccines. Way to undermine the key message of the last two years.

A couple of months ago when they were trying to convince people to upgrade the masks because cloth ones were ineffective, they were saying that N95 masks actually protected the wearer, which was a shift from telling people to wear masks to protect other people. I never heard that again and I don't know why. Obviously, if people are so worried that not enough people are wearing masks, officials could repeat that finding, that is, protect yourself with an N95 mask. But they don't. Why?

These were supposed to be extraordinary measures to deal with an emergency. I really resent that a portion of the medical community seems bent on urging extraordinary measures for an indeterminate time, and without having a clear objective. It's a betrayal of trust, to my mind, the trust that they would work with governments, not wage campaigns against their decisions, once they finally decided to make real steps to move forward.

Why don't they focus on other things, like ventilation, that don't require us to demonstrate that we have no confidence in our own bodies, or other people's?

In response to - Jeff Bikaboom on Apr 6, 2022 at 1:36 pm:

You demonstrate an excellent insight into the efficacy of coercive governmental control measures that have been tested and refined over decades of manipulation with the intent of ratcheting down on the collective will.

This has been successful in the context of a timidity that has been reinforced by the governmental narrative of Canadians sharing the values of peace, order, and good governance notwithstanding the fact that on the governmental side that this is an illusory construct that has psychologically shifted the collective mindset to embrace a delusional lens embedded in a mass formation psychosis…

The great impulse wherein society swims like a shoal of bait fish from one fear inducing stimuli to the next… When in reality the delusion is merely a manifestation of a Liberalized chimera… Blazing a trail of scorched earth to coax, coral and brand the citizenry with a new narrative through the invocation of fear… You are racist, you are privileged, you are dirty, you are unclean, and you cannot be as you are, you must become, our world depends on it… By the way we have decided that you will own nothing and be happy.

Article 21 of the Great Reset tells us that you must be housed in apartment complexes along mass transportation systems so you can be deployed at our will as excess labour for a purpose determined by us for which you will receive no recompense but for your own existence - We will call you when we need you… Not! When the transports come we’ll herd whoever we want, however we want to, onto the trains… You will be allowed an extra ration of food per day. Production suffers if the surplus labour dies during the conscription of their efforts…

You think this is far fetched? It’s already happening…

@ Atom

Wearing of the mask over one’s mouth is a ritual of submission, a gesture willingness to be subject to others who are not your usual Sovereign. It indicates your submission to another power. Masks communicate to the subconscious that things are no longer the same, and will never be the same. It symbolizes consent to a new arrangement and that you are no longer the person you used to be.

Surgeons wear masks to avoid spitting food particles into open wounds. This makes sense. To wear a mask to somehow filter out a virus that needs viewed with a x60,000 magnification electron microscope is nonsensical. If masked worked, they would have worked.

People wear masks because of fear, stupidity, or virtue signalling. The result is that they are depriving themselves of oxygen and partaking in a mass ritual. I regularly see people driving alone on the highway, 50 km from the closest community, wearing a mask. This is not an action of a mentally healthy person.

If the main concern during pandemic was to prevent the overloading of the healthcare system, the government could have dumped billions into it instead of into nothing. The healthcare system is here to protect us, not the other way around. Read about the current court hearing in Alberta with Hinshaw to see how scientific the last 2 years have been, and how much expertise these "experts" have.

People are actively hurting themselves in a failed attempt to protect others, or appear to protect others for virtue signalling. People should remember that they kill you with your love. That's the way it is is all over the world, every day.

North of 60 - Who are you to suggest vitamins are better than a barrier of any kind from aerosol ingestion? I hate masks, but they do have some degree of mitigation, THEY DID PREVENT INFECTIONS, and the fact that you would diminish a historically proven method to suggest a different historically known method of health regimen suggests that you are not the person we ought to take advice from. Had you suggested both, I might have bought that. But you didn't - that is an example of political science over medical science. Go ahead, cite some evidence I am wrong - will upload all modern pandemics which utilized public mask use and their efficacy rates in the past two centuries alone.

You wanted choice, you got it. Live with it, you will never get any more than that.

@Wilf Carter, et.al. Wearing a mask won't do anything to prevent C0vid infection, however taking 3 to 4 vitaminD tabs per day will boost your sunlight deprived immune system, thus reducing your chances of getting C0vid and significantly reducing the severity if you do catch it.

We've already seen their impotent response to a peaceful unarmed protest. Now just imagine a crowd of that size but one that really means business. They don't stand a chance if it really came down to it, that's why we need to defy them at every turn and make it clear that we won't be coerced or intimidated any longer.

Covid is a compliance test, that Canadians have passed with flying colors. The true agenda is censorship, the silencing and arrest of political opposition, bill c36, bill c10, and the rollout of digital Id which will transition us to a social credit system. It would seem that too many of us are too easily distracted with bread and circus to realize where this is heading.

Response to - North_of_60 on Apr 4, 2022 at 3:16 pm:

This whole affair has been the manifestation of political incompetence. From the very start they couldn’t get it right so they changed the definition of vaccine to allow the use of genetic manipulation in real time. Many, many people said it’s not altering your DNA. Actually it does, that is the purpose of mRNA - to trigger, in this case, a protein spike in response to an immune system challenge. However, this does not happen isolation - There is no 1-1 effect. Your system is an integrated whole and one change here will cause a change somewhere else.

Maybe, wink, wink, you will not become a Lizard Person this time around but unintended changes are occurring in your body - HENCE, the side effects, associated or causal.

FFS! You let them bully you into this experiment without the courtesy of an informed consent. They could not give it to you because they did not know. But you believed in their benevolence notwithstanding the fact that these “politicians” and “medical charlatans” were profiting hugely in power and money - You people are f$&@ed! Really, really f$&@ed.

The whole world is laughing at Canada because of our PM and our leadership more generally. Liberals are disgusting and the NDP is all to happy to be their lapdog… It must be the smell!

We really need the media to inquire on the widespread severe adverse reactions from the covax, apart from its obvious ineffectiveness. This has to be exposed, for the sake of public health and safety.

Why is this news? Why not report what's actually significant, i.e. is there any hospitalization? (Probably not) And how many vaxed people are among those testing positive for covid? (Probably all of them) Just mentioning 'new cases' is pointless. For the past thousand years, we've always had increases of 'new cases' of the sniffles every year, especially after the spring break. But to the covidian cult, dialing up the fear is by now a sacred ritual.

Isn't there some sort of Colored Ribbons we can wear instead?

The latest stats from Health Canada....
For the last year... Of all the C0vid deaths in Canada
51 % were triple vaxxinated
31 % were double vaxxinated ... .. So, total 82 %
Of those presently infected...
48 % are triple vaxzed
35 % are double vaxzed... ... ... So, total 83%
Not much protection....
And this doesn't even include the deaths that are from adverse effects.

Understand that "vaccine" mandates are political science not medical science.

Should we be prepared to be shut down for another holiday that involves seeing family (Easter)?

This just seems like typical government clockwork.
