COVID-19 outbreak declared at Thomson Centre
Dr. Catherine Elliott, the acting chief medical officer of health, has declared an outbreak at the Thomson Centre long-term care home following the identification of several linked COVID-19 cases.
Dr. Catherine Elliott, the acting chief medical officer of health, has declared an outbreak at the Thomson Centre long-term care home following the identification of several linked COVID-19 cases.
“The current situation is contained, and routine outbreak management procedures are in place, including screening and testing protocols,” Elliott said Wednesday afternoon.
“Additional information has been shared with staff, residents and families.”
Additionally, outbreak measures have been extended in one house at Whistle Bend Place.
“We are working closely with the staff and administration at both Thomson Centre and Whistle Bend Place to manage these outbreaks,” Elliott said.
“Thank you to the staff, residents and their families for their flexibility during this challenging time.”
The government added, “While the Thomson Centre is directly adjacent to Whitehorse General Hospital, there is no impact to hospital services.
“Patients and clients who have scheduled appointments for hospital services located in Thomson Centre continue to be able to safely access those services during this time.”

Last time I checked unjabbed people aren’t allowed there, how is there a breakout? Boy oh boy the amount of minds that will be blown when they find out what’s actually happening in the world and how badly they’ve been duped.

The only reason my niece was given that vaccine was because of this useless government mandates. As for my natural immunity my family in my house is fine because we didn't listen to this fake government. But unfortunately my brother in Ontario didn't listen and he buried my 12 yr old niece. As for your science that you and the liberals speak so much about, there is no science. These lockdowns saved .002 percent of the people. The vaccine and its side effects will kill far more.

I’m sorry your family member is having heart problems.
But I’ll use the “why are worrying about covid -you have 99% chance of being ok from it?” argument that gets posted here under every article to say “why are we worrying about the vaccine -you have a 99.999% chance of being ok from it?”
If you think statement 1 is true then that means statement 2 also is true.
Bad things have happened from the vaccines in an extremely small number of people. A million people will die from covid and many thousands will be left with permanent health problems - including but not limited to heart problems.
I’ll take my clearly better chances with the vaccine. Let me know when the millions of us can expect our immune systems to collapse - so far all we’ve heard is desperate promises from the fringe.

It is great that you are feeling good and your family is healthy. Maybe you can explain to me how my 13 year old hockey playing, baseball playing niece, in perfect health, had her heart blow up in thunder bay Ontario playing a scrimmage game of hockey. You think your comments are proof well f$%k you explain to the families who have lost their loved ones to the vaccine not the virus. Your liberal ignorance is really starting to get on my nerves.

Almost every pro athlete has been vaccinated. As have like 90% of Yukoners (and Canadians).
Can someone link a story about a pro athlete dying directly from the covid vaccine? An NHL player perhaps? An Olympic athlete? I keep hearing there are so many. Should be easy to link to multiple stories.
The number of deaths from covid (what you guys call the flu) is gonna crest a million.
When can us vaccinated people expect this damage from the vaccine to show up. It’s been over a year - there’s been no surge of harmed Yukoners. We should be the first since we got it before a lot of Canadians.
Just want to know when I can expect it… I heard two months…then 6 months…then a year.
Still waiting. I feel great. Everyone around me who has been vaccinated feels great. My family members feel great. It appears all the NHL, NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball players, 90% of our truckers, 100% of Fox News employees, Donald Trump, Jason Kenney, Candace Bergen, Currie Dixon, Pierre Polievre etc etc - everyone is doing fine.
This is directly for those saying we have been harmed- when will we see these effects you are so sure of?
