Convenience store robbed

A man wearing a ski mask robbed the convenience store at the Airline Inn last Friday evening.

A man wearing a ski mask robbed the convenience store at the Airline Inn last Friday evening.

The robbery, according to Whitehorse RCMP Sgt. John Sutherland, occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. when the man, wearing a dark ski mask, entered the Airline Inn convenience store and demanded cash.

The man, according to an RCMP press release issued this afternoon, indicated to the clerk at the store that he had a weapon.

The man fled the store after receiving a small amount of cash.

Police are looking for a first nations male, approximately six feet, two inches tall, who may or may not be wearing a black pull-over snowboarding jacket.
