Two Pelly Crossing women were medevaced to Whitehorse after their pickup truck went off the road last week and rolled several times into the ditch.
Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, according to Yukon RCMP.
The collision happened early last Thursday morning. Police are unsure of the exact time, but EMS was contacted at 4:30 a.m.
Const. Matt Beckett told the Star his morning that the two 20-year-old women were driving west on the Silver Trail near Mayo.
The driver lost control of the Chevrolet S10 pickup and it rolled several times into the ditch on the opposite side of the road, landing on the passenger’s side.
One of the women was able to get out of the truck and walk to the nearest home for help, about 1 1/2 to two kilometres away, said Beckett.
The women were transported to the Mayo Health Centre, and medevaced to Whitehorse General Hospital later that morning.
Beckett said the accident is still under investigation.
The cause is not yet known and no charges have been laid.
