City releases holiday hours for facilities and services

Many City of Whitehorse offices, including city hall, will be closed Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.

Many City of Whitehorse offices, including city hall, will be closed Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.

City offices will also be closed on Jan. 2.

Weekend bus service will be in effect on Dec. 26-27 and Jan. 2. There will be no service on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Canada Games Centre will operate with reduced hours on Dec. 24 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Dec. 31 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The facility will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

The waste management facility will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

On Boxing Day, tipping fees will be waived for self-hauled pickup loads of sorted residential waste.

Tipping fees still apply for metals, appliances and all commercial loads.

The Frank Slim Building at Shipyards Park will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

For complaints outside of office hours, call the Trouble Line at 667-2111, and in the event of an emergency, call 911.
