City looking for committee members

The city is seeking applications from Whitehorse-area residents who would like to serve on two important advisory committees.

The city is seeking applications from Whitehorse-area residents who would like to serve on two important advisory committees.

The Canadian Coalition of Municipalities Against Racism and Discrimination (CCMARD) will advise city council and administration on best practices to eliminate racism and discrimination in the development, implementation and operations of the city plans, policies, services and facilities.

The finance committee will consider and assess the financial implications of existing and proposed policies, programs and actions, and recommend measures or adjustments that will make the best use of the city's resources.

Anyone who is able to contribute time to some important volunteer work is invited to apply.
