Charges laid against Watson Laker

A Watson Lake man is facing multiple charges, Watson Lake RCMP said Monday afternoon.

A Watson Lake man is facing multiple charges, Watson Lake RCMP said Monday afternoon.

Last Thursday, police executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. While searching a residence on Stubenberg Boulevard in Watson Lake, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine was seized.

Also located were two mountain bikes that had been stolen from a tourist’s vehicle while parked at a local motel the day before.

The RCMP are following up on two additional recovered bikes that are believed to have been stolen as well.

Robin Laflamme, 40, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with:

• possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine;

• trafficking cocaine;

• failing to comply with an undertaking; and

• two counts of possession of stolen property.

Laflamme was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday in Whitehorse.

Another slap on the wrist or will it be a tough judge. Some judges should maybe just stay home. Need a judge like a JP we used to have, Bill Thomson. He is now deceased. He didn't listen to the poor me sob stories
