A Whitehorse man is facing charges of impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample after a truck hit a post early this morning.

RCMP Cpl. Jeff Myke said today they received a 911-dispatch at 4:45 a.m. regarding a collision at the intersection of Second and Fourth avenues.

“Police attended the scene and noted a white Ford truck had collided with a post,” police said. “A lone male was noted by the vehicle and was identified as having been the driver.”

A 43-year-old man was arrested and is now facing the two criminal charges.
