Candidates invited to succession of forums

From 7:00 to 9:00 this evening, the Yukon Federation of Labour will host an all-candidates’ forum focused on labour issues at Yukon College.
On Thursday, Volunteer Bénévoles Yukon will host a debate focused on issues affecting non-profit organizations. It will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the MacBride Museum.
Yukoners are invited to submit debate questions online in advance of the event.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, local resident Gurdeep Pandher will host and moderate a debate on immigration, refugee systems, multiculturalism, diversity and inclusion.
It will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yukon Transportation Museum. Attendees are invited to book tickets online with the option of making a donation.
On Oct. 2, the Association franco-yukonnaise will host a debate on francophone community issues at the Centre de la Francophonie from 7 to 9 p.m.
On Oct. 3, CPAWS Yukon and the Yukon Conservation Society will host a forum on the environment from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre.
That forum is part of the 100 Debates on the Environment campaign taking place in 122 ridings across Canada that week. Yukoners can RSVP to the debate online.
On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Yukon Fish & Game Association and Yukon Outfitters Association will host a debate focused on fish, wildlife and outdoor issues. It will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Yukon Beringia Centre.
On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Yukon Chamber of Commerce will host a debate. The venue and time are still to be determined.
On Oct. 10, candidates will attend a round table discussion at the Individual Learning Centre from noon to 1 p.m.
On Oct. 16, CBC Yukon will host a debate from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Coast High Country Inn. It will be broadcast on CBC radio and livestreamed on Facebook.
On Oct. 17, there will be a Vanier Catholic Secondary School debate from 1 to 2 p.m.
