Accused man sees charges upgraded

A man originally charged with being an accessory to murder is now charged with second-degree murder.

A man originally charged with being an accessory to murder is now charged with second-degree murder.

Dean Boucher, 31, of Carcross, who is also known as Dean Johns, is now the second man charged with murdering hotelier Bob Olson.

Boucher was before a justice of the peace this morning having his charge of accessory upgraded to one of murder.

Mark Lewis Lange, 29, of Whitehorse, is also charged with second-degree murder in connection with Olson's death.

His body was found Dec. 27 in the Wolf Creek subdivision of Whitehorse.

Olson was the owner of the historic Caribou Hotel in Carcross.
