SPOONS is a one-year-old long-haired cat. She may look angry, but is really a sweetheart. She loves to get pets, and will get right up in your face and sniff you while you pet her. She purrs a lot, especially when she has treats. She likes to play, and won’t go bananas if you try to brush her. The Mae Bachur Animal Shelter is taking pets from Mayo and Old Crow fire evacuees. The staff have been working overtime to ensure the shelter has space by fostering the current dogs up for adoption. Yukoners have responded quickly to the need. More volunteers are always welcome.
