The new stricter drunk driving laws in Canada have been well-received by most, although there are a few concerns, mostly from misguided civil libertarians.

The simple fact is that they will make the roads safer. Well done!

An odd side effect of this in Australia is that with a decreased number of road deaths, there are fewer organ donors now.

The “best” organs come from sudden deaths rather than slower deaths, where the organs tend to deteriorate.

With fewer driving deaths, there are fewer healthy donations.
