In response to Esa Ekdahl's letter (October 5, 2006), I agree! I would be quite nervous about wandering the forests of the Yukon, too, if the conservation officers were recklessly firing their weapons perhaps even needlessly. What concerns me, however, is that they left the animal to roam our forests seriously injured. That is quite cruel....
