He’s making no bones about looking for dirt
Two weeks ago, a less-than-clever Yukon Party (YP) toady was trying to look for skeletons in my closet by using YTG’s ATTIP office.
Two weeks ago, a less-than-clever Yukon Party (YP) toady was trying to look for skeletons in my closet by using YTG’s ATTIP office.
What “Dave” didn’t realize was that he couldn’t easily access my private, personal and corporate business affairs at the ATTIP office (at a low cost of $5 per app). Well, not without my consent, anyway.
I received a registered letter from Mr. David Downing, records manager, on July 10, which informed me of an application from a confidential source to look at my records (dirty laundry).
This letter contained the complete laundry list of my past dealings with the mineral services branch of the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources.
It also gave me the option to exercise or waive my rights to privacy and protection in relation to the list of confidential documents.
On July 13, I took the ATTIP letter to my lawyer.
My lawyer is happy to review my correspondences for free simply because of the entertainment value that I bring to the table.
After an hour of shared humour regarding the IQ level of the current YP brain trust, I hand-delivered my response to the ATTIP office.
I attached to my response an updated résumé to be forwarded to “Dave” with precious little else from my files.
I enjoy whistle-blowing and have become very adept at investigating potentially corrupt administrators, cronies and toadies.
YTG’s ATTIP office is actually best utilized to dig out embarrassing departmental documents about YTG cronies and toadies.
Look at the hot new scandal that Tamara Goeppel just introduced from ATTIP records (Star, July 15).
Tamara would make a great MLA after the next territorial election. She isn’t blinded by administrative brilliance or baffled by their bulls---.
Now that the LNG plant boondoggle is heating up again (Star, July 15), it’s becoming hard to keep track of which YP scandal an ambitious new candidate should hang their hat on.
