Fracking is a safe method of creating jobs

Elected officials in the United States, led by President Barack Obama, wanted to know the facts on fracking and the use of water in frack-drilling.

After all, Obama’s detractors seized on what could occur, rather than fracking’s strong safety record.

Finally, the truth is out, after a five-year, very detailed study of fracking, water quality and the level of usage.

The study included input from all stakeholders and more than 900 reports by all groups.

They met with individuals, groups and environmentalists before completing their findings.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had scientists’ studies stating that where fracking has being going on for some time, there have been claims of problems, with the quality and the amount of water used.

The results: fracking did not cause any of the problems that were claimed; they were caused by other sources, not fracking at all.

Local environmentalists have been pointing to some of these areas which we now know are not true at all.

In the United States, fracking-related oil and gas production supported 2.1 million good-paying American jobs in 2012. That’s expected to rise to 3.9 million jobs by 2025.

It has also sharply reduced energy prices, providing an estimated $1,200 in savings per household.

The EPA’s new study, in conclusion, confirms that fracking is a technology that belongs among the ranks of computers and iPhones.

It is changing the nation for the better without causing widespread harm to underground aquifers and drinking water.

It is producing energy to make America stronger and safer.

And, nearly single-handedly, it pulled the United States out of the depths of a great recession by creating jobs and boosting the economy, according to news reports.

None of the facts and evidence on fracking as a method to drill are out.

It has strong safety record and creates good-paying jobs and lower energy costs per household, which puts more money into the pockets of lower and middle income earners.

The western provinces understand the results of fracking and have dispelled the myths behind the unknowledgeable people who do not understand fracking and its opportunities and benefits for the Yukon.

This is the information the fracking committee needed to find and use.

This confirms the Yukon Party government is on the right track with fracking, realizing it can be a great wealth creator for the Yukon and reduce our cost of living.

Are the NDP and Liberals thinking differently?

Yukon Party: I would develop a partnership with First Nations to develop Yukon resources.

Fracking is a strong and safe method of creating jobs for our people.

I have to thank one local person and the people in Alberta and in the United States for providing me the facts.

Dear Wilf Carter you are so wrong with everything you write especially fracking.
You are talking about frack-drilling. Drilling has absolutely nothing to do with fracking and fracking has absolutely nothing to do with drilling. These are two completely different technologies and the only relation is one follows after the other.
If the drilling is done the drill rig is pulled out of the hole, then the frackers come in and do there thing.
As you even can't get this straight how many of your other arguments are wrong too? I know that all of them are. Stop spreading your falsehood.
You don't even get the main issue right, we have to stop increasing oil and gas production. We have to reduce the burning of fossil fuels and that is a fact. Even the Pope can see this now together with millions of people around the world.
Otherwise there will be no future for coming generations.
Don't you have kids and grandkids? Don't you care about their future?
