- Witnessing turmoil, distress and utter chaos I have to wonder just how many ordinary people, like myself, around the world, are watching the media coverage of the disaster of the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, that continues to unfold before our eyes, with a sense of total, absolute, incredulity.

- Stop with the negative pit bull stories I am writing to complain about the article on the apparent 'aggressive pit bull' which was seen roaming the downtown streets (Star, Aug. 22).
- Fair coverage greatly appreciated We would like to express our appreciation at the great photos and coverage we received in the Whitehorse Star on Monday, Tuesday and today for the Klondyke Harvest Fair, which was held last weekend at Shipyards Park in conjunction with the International Storytelling Festival.
- Firecrackers lark was dangerous Re: firecrackers. At the corner of Pine Street and Ponderosa Drive on Wednesday, some young persons shot off Roman candles (firecrackers).
- So typically government Don't I have anything better to do than find fault with the government? Sure I do. But finding fault with the feds is so easy, it's hard to stop.
