• Our group has a complaint to file Ed. note: this is an open letter to members of the Yukon Utilities Board. The mandate or main function of the Yukon Utilities Board is to ensure the public has safe, reliable energy at a reasonable price.
• I have an inspiring colleague I wanted to share the story of my fellow employee at the Superstore. Terry Gallinger has cerebral palsy, is in a wheelchair and has the use of only one hand.
• You helped keep a tradition alive The Whitehorse branch of the Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank everyone who participated in our very successful 2005 Rent-A-Santa fundraiser.

• Power outage called for some leadership Ed. note: this is a letter to Premier Dennis Fentie.
• Good communication was lacking The blackout did not affect our home very much since we had installed catalytic wood fireplaces, a couple years back, that do the majority of the heating in our house.
• Waterfront contemplation is needed Thank you for providing architect Charles McLaren's three-part analysis of the proposed $20-million waterfront plan for Whitehorse.

• We appreciated your generosity The vision of Hospice Yukon is to offer quality end-of-life care and bereavement support to all.
• End this charade of politically incorrect' I am convinced there is really no desire on the part of government, first nations or negotiators to actually resolve all of the issues regarding land claims, land use, etc.
• Minister's havoc must wait a bit Subject: Chuck Tobin opinion piece in the Friday, Jan. 27 Whitehorse Star.
• Blackout showed the need for better communication Subject: Yukon's Great Blackout.
• We could have used an emergency meeting place Subject: Concerns and anecdotes for the Sunday surge.
• It was clear we weren't ready Regarding the power outage on Sunday afternoon, it really showed Whitehorse residents just how unprepared we really are.
