- Stop council's tomfoolery and vote Yes' I have to respond to the rather predictable comments in letters to the editor by Mayor Bourassa and Coun. Buckway (Star, June 14).
- The process may have been breached I have never been through anything like the referendum for a plebiscite in an Official Community Plan. However, I suspect the City has 'breached' the process, as it did on the greenbelt matter.

- Make sure the City hears your voice! On June 22, the City of Whitehorse will have its first citizen-initiated referendum.
- Childcare workers deserve decent wages Recently, there has been a great deal of interest and discussion around childcare and daycares in the Yukon. The discussion is long overdue but late is better than never.
- Fix accident-prone corner Why don't we just turn Second Avenue and Fourth Avenue into a 'junk yard' and be done with it? (Star, June 9).
- Make it everything or nothing Why are there so many people trying to put words into my mouth, trying to tell me what to think and how to feel?
- Firearms law should be investigated It seems to me that an 'inquiry' into the various 'columns of smoke' coming from the firearms act and its cost is long overdue.

- Our assessments should be lowered This is an open letter to the Assessment Appeal Board chair (Aletta Anne King) and members (Truska Gorrell and Doug Phillips).
- It's time to stop the insanity! I certainly hope the taxpayer is not paying for these ongoing redundant 'consultations' about greenbelts with the various bureaucrats and their assistants.

- This project would be a progressive move It was a pleasure to see the expeditious manner in which the newly-formed Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) proceeded to approve the proposal to develop Meadow Lakes (Star, June 7).
- We become a banana republic MP Maurice Vellacott's recent comments about the Supreme Court have caused the president of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) to react by writing a letter to the prime minister on May 9, saying that: 'behaviour such as this seriously threatens judicial independence.'
