- Neither set of numbers is wrong Statistics Canada would like to clarify certain issues in your July 20 article 'We have millions of dollars in the bank' . It suggests that we were wrong in calculating a financial deficit for the Yukon for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2006.

Just when I thought the City planning department had finally learned the error of its ways, another pile of nonsense is heaped upon the residents with the comments made by Mike Gau, City planner (Star, July 21).
- Independent Israel' notion is simply a laughable one Surely Geoffrey Capp is aware that bold capital letters do not a fact make (Star letters, July 20).

- Don't assume they were young Your lead story in Monday's Star, 'What is our community coming to?', was unacceptable journalism and an attack on our young people.
