- Some things just never change I recall about 30 years ago, when I was looking for affordable and quality day care, it was very difficult to find! In fact, there were no standards for care, few qualified day care workers, and fewer training opportunities for day care workers.

- It's absolute nonsense to bring in the CMHC Just when you think it can't get any worse, we now have the mortgage-lending institution, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. (CMHC), coming to Whitehorse to tell us how to develop our land (Star, Aug. 11).

- Airline's non-service is unacceptable Ed. note: this is a letter to the Yukon government.
- City bureaucracy is totally out of control I am sure we are all fed up with the ongoing confrontation with city hall; however, some things 'have' to be said if we are to retain our democracy and stay solvent.
- Day care workers are getting the shaft There is no white light at the end of this tunnel, nothing more to look forward to.
