- Canada needs to stand firm against extradition attempts My name is Dylan Haddock. I was born and raised in Whitehorse. I grew up reading the Whitehorse Star.
- Business was forced to relocate We had to move our Tatshenshini Expediting business from Wood Street. It is not that we wanted to move nor was it because the owner wanted us out. Rent was fine. - Recognition and appreciation for everyone In recent days, I have been getting lots of pats on the back and the atta boy' compliments in relation to the Southern Lakes flood response. While I appreciate the acknowledgments from fellow Yukoners, I need to set the record straight; I am but one role in the Emergency Measure Organization.
- Sincere thanks to everyone Our heartfelt thanks to all those who helped in our time of need during the record flooding in the Southern Lakes, especially Marsh Lake. From the initial sandbagging efforts organized by the Whitehorse Rotary Club on July 7; the following government response from EMO, firefighters, Energy, Mines & Resources and Highways; Marsh Lake Fire Department and Ambulance; all the volunteers filling sandbags and to those who are still manning the big pumps 24/7 ... thank you for all you have done.

- Motorists should indeed be thanked If you please, I would like to respond to the letter in your esteemed pages of Wednesday, Aug. 1 from Ms. Debbie Pyke, in which she bemoans the apparent lack of consideration of local automobile operators, inconsideration she feels they exhibit when encountering a bicyclist upon the public thoroughfares.
