- There's more to MMA than gratuitous violence I'd like to submit a letter in response to "Fighting violence by teaching violence is naive” (Star letters, Dec. 12).
- Council's blatant disrespect was unjustified I would like to extend my sincerest thank you to city councillors Kirk Cameron, Betty Irwin and Ranj Pillai for truly representing the residents of Whitehorse on Monday night with dignity and respect during discussions and voting on Porter Creek D and Middle McIntyre Creek (Star, Dec. 13).
- Snowmobiling bylaw is a knee-jerk reaction I would like to voice my concerns about the new snowmobile bylaw (Star, Dec. 8).

- Have the old KFC hatch a bannock house One idea to revive a dormant building is to take the closed KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) building and turn it into a bannock house.
- Our time wih responsible government was brief Of significant historical note, it was just 39 years ago, on Dec. 13, 1972 when a former territorial council exercised its parliamentary rights and privileges by declaring itself to be henceforth known and styled as a legislative assembly.

- Downtown parking will need attention I applaud city councillor Ranj Pillai's "long-range thinking” approach to addressing controversy over Porter Creek D development,
- The rhetoric on the issue still flows In last Friday's Star, it was reported that city councillor Ranj Pillai is suggesting there should be a non-binding plebiscite regarding Porter Creek D and the roads through Middle McIntyre Creek.
- Delaying the vote would achieve nothing Re. postponing the vote on McIntyre Creek, Whistle Bend, etc. (Star, Dec. 9).
- I find their notions are offensive I am offended by the newest movement sweeping our nation, the 99 per cent.
