Snag Secures Notoriety As Being Coldest Spot N. American Continent

Approximately 175 miles northwest of here, but well within the Yukon Territory, lies Snag which has recently achieved notoriety as being the coldest spot

on the North American continent. With temperatures hovering around "-82 below" it has occurred to some that given the right wave length, (and they have

a wide range at Snag) residents there could tune in and hear the angels singing!

We in the Yukon have certainly experienced a "cold spell" this past week or so, and not a little inconvenience resulting therefrom, but we are reliably

informed weather conditions hereabouts are due to moderate for which we shall all be thankful, "Fair and Warmer" is what we are all looking forward to.
