Fellow Yukoners Kai Knorr and Stephen Grundmanis competed in the Boys U-19 Main Division, but did not place.

Idrees won the boys U-17 B division crown over fellow Yukoner Graydon McDonnell.

Sana Syed won the girls U-15 B division, while Ava Cairns took third. Another Yukoner, Kennedy Cairns, won the girls U-19 B division consolation bronze.

The tournament was held at the Cedar Hill Squash Club.

Top-ranked Julien Revel beat Blaine Tessier to win the A final, while the junior-aged Knorr held off Idrees to claim the B final.

Victor Lavanderos took down Muhammad Idrees to win the round-robin C draw, while 14-year-old Sana Syed beat Jada Smith-Kwok in the final match of the round-robin D draw to claim that title.

Ava Cairns defeated Kayden King in a closely-fought junior final.

In total, 34 players competed in the tournament, with eight taking part in the junior draw.

Meanwhile in local rec league action, Yukon Tree Services leads Div. 1 with 215 points at the end of Round 2. EBA Engineering is currently holding down second with 203 points, while TSL Contractors Ltd. is third with 189 total points.

In Thursday night Div. 2 action, North Star Storage (182 points) continues to hold a slim two-point lead over Aurora Geosciences for the league lead.

Better Bookkeeping (177 points) is three points behind Aurora Geosciences in the standings for third.
